DUAL BOOT UBUNTU AND WINDOWS 100%

Hey guys, this will guide you how to DUAL BOOT UBUNTU with WINDOWS. Firstly i wanna tell you that the best way of installing any new OS is making its bootable instead installing from within the current os. First make backup of your data as I will not be responsible for your data loss(if occur by any means).
1. HOW TO MAKE A BOOTABLE.
⦁ Download and install POWER ISO software- http://www.poweriso.com/download.php

⦁ Download ISO file the OS which you want to install. (I will take UBUNTU as an example) https://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop

⦁ Now open POWER ISO and select open. Then select the ISO file of UBUNTU. After the file gets open click on tools and select create bootable.
⦁ Wait for sometime.
⦁ Remember one thing not to open the pendrive after making Bootable, this might make your bootable corrupt.

2. PREPARE WINDOWS FOR DUAL BOOT.
Dual-Booting a system will need seperate partitions for both the OS. So we have to make a seperate partition on which ubuntu will get installed.

⦁ Right click on my computer and select manage.
⦁ Select disk management.
⦁ You will see your disk drives there.
⦁ Now right click on your local drive (let's say D:) and click on shrink volume.
⦁ Now shrink your drive around 30-50GB(depending on current drive status, if you have plenty of free space then make it 50GB).
⦁ After shrinking you will see unallocated space of 50GB(or whatever amount of space you shrinked).

3. INTALLING UBUNTU
⦁ Plug in the pendrive and reboot your pc/laptop and go to BIOS or BOOTLOADER menu by pressing either F10/F12/F2 (depending on the vendor).

⦁ After that select USB from there and you will get directed to GNU GRUB.

⦁ Then select Install UBUNTU
⦁ After boot finishes you will get into UBUNTU system running LIVE-Mode.

⦁ Now click on install UBUNTU.
⦁ Click next.
⦁ Now on "Installation type" menu select "Something else" and click next.

⦁ Now we will create our own custom partitions, recommended that you create 3 partitions that are 'swap', '/' , 'boot'.

⦁ Be very careful on next steps.
⦁ SWAP- Choose free space (shrinked volume from windows), click on '+'. Choose size as 8000Mb(double than your RAM) and click on use as and select swap area.

⦁ BOOT- Choose free space (shrinked volume from windows), click on '+'. Choose size as 500Mb  and click on use as and select EXT4 then select mount point as boot

⦁ /- Choose free space (shrinked volume from windows), click on '+'. Choose size as ALL THE AVAILABLE FREE SPACE(you dont need to enter) and click on use as and select EXT4 then select mount point as /.

⦁ Click  on install now, select your region, language, fill in your enteries.

⦁ Congratulations, you just dual booted your system. Remove your pendrive.
Now on rebooting you will see GRUB bootloader. you can select either windows or ubuntu.
